Last week, I had the pleasure of interviewing X Prize Founder Peter Diamandis, who is hard at work empowering some of the greatest minds to solve the world’s biggest challenges.
The X PRIZE Foundation is a nonprofit dedicated to inspiring innovation in education, energy, life sciences and exploration. Its mission is to foster great ideas and breakthroughs that can solve the world’s “grand challenges.” For the last 15 years they have held competitions aimed at incentivizing great minds to attack these problems. Most of the incentive comes in the form of financial prizes which have yielded research and development that far surpasses the face value of the monetary investment.
